Congratulations on taking the first step to finish your degree!

Once you have chosen which Finish@UT degree plan is best for you, you must apply to the UT institution that offers the degree. Criteria, procedures, and deadlines for admission vary slightly from one partner university to another, but are predominantly the same as the traditional residence bachelor’s programs. Once accepted, this university becomes your home campus and will award your degree when you have completed all of the requirements.

Although you may take courses from other UT System universities participating in the Finish@UT program, you will only have to submit application materials to your home campus. The earlier you apply for admission, the easier it will be for you to consult with an advisor and plan your first semester.

Follow these steps to apply as a transfer or readmitted student:

1. 1. Go to www.ApplyTexas.org to submit your transfer student or readmission application. For the Select School and Select Major sections of the application, please refer to the chart below for Finish@UT designations.
   
2. 2. Contact all colleges or universities previously attended and request that official transcripts be sent directly to the university to which you are applying.
3. 3. Wait for information from the university regarding your application status. Once you are accepted, the university will evaluate your transcripts for transfer credits. If you do not have the 60 (UTA and UTB), 42 (UTEP), or 44 (UTPB) credits required for the Finish@UT degree program but meet the campus’ general admission criteria, the university may admit you into a different major. If this is the case, students who later become eligible can petition to change to a Finish@UT degree program.

Applications and required documents received by the priority deadline will be processed in time for registration for the semester applied. Applications received after the deadline will be processed on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to a late fee.
